Since 1914, Armstrong Elementary has been the heart of Highland Park, Texas, where young minds are inspired, confidence grows, and a lifelong love of learning begins. On the 112th anniversary of Armstrong Elementary, we are excited to celebrate our school and community with Safari Soirée: A Wild Night — an elevated evening inspired by the spirit of adventure, timeless elegance, and the strong sense of community that continues to define Armstrong.

Your profound generosity supports programs and resources at our school that would otherwise not be funded. Despite our district’s higher-than-average income levels, the state of Texas employs a public-school funding formula that redirects local property tax revenue from more affluent districts to those with fewer financial resources. Because of this, fundraising plays a critical role in helping Armstrong continue to provide the exceptional educational experience our students and teachers deserve. Most importantly, 100% of what we raise stays at Armstrong and does not go back to the state.

At Armstrong, we believe great schools start with great teachers. Proceeds from our Auction directly support the salaries of our exceptional teachers and staff, helping Armstrong continue to attract and retain the talented educators who make such a lasting impact on our students’ lives. In fact, 100% of the salaries and benefits for four instructional aides are funded by the PTA.

Additional funds raised through the auction support classroom supplies, curriculum materials, technology, campus improvements, and other resources that enrich the daily learning experience for every Armstrong student.
