About The Niner

What is “The Niner”?

“The Niner” is an intimate Pro/Am experience where only 45 players (9 fivesome teams) compete alongside 9 PGA/LPGA professionals on the 9-hole short course at Trinity Forest GC. Each PGA/LPGA pro will be anchored to a specific tee box where they will hit a tee shot with each group playing their hole. Players get the experience to meet, interact, and compete with a different pro on each hole. The format has 2 components: 1) Every hole will be played as a “Beat the Pro”, where players who hit their tee shot inside the pro on any hole will be entered into a drawing at the end of the round. 2) The tournament will be played in a shamble format, where the best tee shot is used (including the pro) and the 3 best balls of the team will count towards the team score. After the Pro/Am, an exclusive Q&A session will be held in the ballroom with attending pros. You won’t want to miss it! 

Attending Pros: 

• PGA, LPGA, Major Champions, and World Golf Hall of Famers 
• (1) Pro stationed on each hole

Emcees: 

• Judy Rankin (26-time LPGA winner, 2-time Solheim Cup Captain, LPGA Hall of Fame, World Golf Hall of Fame, Bob Jones Award winner, Commentator for ESPN and ABC, Lead LPGA Analyst for the Golf Channel) 
• Art Sellinger (Two Time National Long Drive Champion, Founder of Long Drivers of America, Founder of the World Long Drive Championship, Owner of Sellinger’s Power Golf Shops in Dallas Fort Worth, Member of the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame and World Long Drive Hall of Fame)

Prizes & Gifts: 

• "Beat the Pro" winner will receive a brand new set of Callaway Elyte clubs with a custom fitting by Sellinger's Power Golf. 
• Each member on the winning team with the lowest score will receive an Odyssey putter 
• $50,000 Hole in 1 Contest
• Closest to the Pin 
• Special gifts to be received onsite 

Event Schedule:

1:30pm-2:30pm: Check-in & Warmup Party

2:30pm: Emcee Announcements and PGA/LPGA Intros

3:00pm: “The Niner” Shotgun Start

4:30pm-5:15pm: Open Bar in the Ballroom with Awards and Auction

5:30pm: Q&A Roundtable in Ballroom with Attending Pros

7:00pm: Event Ends and Silent Auction Closes 

Caddies For Kids

Caddies For Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that focuses on youth development and mentorship for kids and teens through the game of golf. We use caddying, the game of golf, and Caddies For Kids scholarships to create opportunities for access and advancement. To improve the lives and outcomes of the members in our program, Caddies For Kids focuses on 4 pillars: Youth Mentorship, Junior Golf, College Scholarships, and Internships/Career Readiness.
