Join us for Perseverance > Endurance, keynote delivered by Brandon Young, and receive a copy of his new book!

Brandon Young is a former US Army Ranger with four combat rotations to Afghanistan. He has spent over 25 years building and leading teams in the military special operations, corporate healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. He is the coauthor of Perseverance > Endurance: Lead With Resilience. Grow Through Adversity. Win Together. Brandon has built partnerships with some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Nike, Walmart, Starbucks, Microsoft, and Amazon. He is the recipient of the Quest Diagnostics Regional Excellence Award for Commercial Leadership for his work in cancer diagnostics. He’s been published in various magazines and peer--reviewed academic journals; assessed, mentored, and trained more than 1,000 Ranger leaders while serving in the 75th Ranger Regiment; and placed third in the 2006 Best Ranger Competition.

Though close cousins, perseverance and endurance are not the same. While endurance gives us the strength to survive, perseverance offers us the opportunity to thrive. Perseverance is greater than endurance. In this moving keynote presentation, Brandon Young, US Army Ranger veteran and author, will take you into the Hindu Kush Mountain Range of Afghanistan circa 2003 to expose the five factors of perseverance: change, uncertainty, acceptance, choice, and growth.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Since 2010, GallantFew has been honored to connect, coach, and counsel any Veteran or service member seeking guidance along their transition from the military and reintegration into American society. This support allows each Veteran the opportunity to focus on their emotional, physical, spiritual, professional, and social fitness for a healthy and purpose-filled life.

In 2024, GallantFew provided a record 7,906 services to 1,091 veterans across the US and abroad. These services include financial counseling sessions, professional development coaching, mental health counseling, and physical and social activities. Our goal for 2025 is to solidify our role as America’s premier military transition and reintegration nonprofit, enhancing service members’ experience with the DoD Transition Assistance Program and Veteran Affairs Administration. Supporting GallantFew gives you the opportunity to provide a Veteran with a life of hope and purpose.

Our impact in the DFW area has grown exponentially  over the last 15 years, and this event will contribute to those efforts. Denim and Diamonds will bolster our clinical counseling program at Veterans Point in Roanoke, enhance our climbing program at Movement Gym in Grapevine and Plano, and support GallantFew's revolutionary metric-based Veteran functional fitness assessment, the Azimuth Check. Your support will help ensure the success of this event and positively impact thousands of lives!
