Friends of the Farmstead, Friday, May 31st.
Friends of the Farmstead is a lively and engaging event that brings together the community to support the museum's mission and celebrate its unique history. This unique and fun-filled event takes place in the Farmstead's historic pole barn and features a True Texas
BBQ dinner, hosted by HEB, live entertainment by country band Raised Right Men, and a live and silent auction. Try your luck at Chicken Poop Bingo and Pick a Pig for a chance to win various prizes. Guests can also stop by Poncho's Wine Pull for a bottle of wine and a photo op with our favorite mammoth jack donkey. A highlight of the event is the presentation of the annual Best Friend of the Farmstead award, which honors an individual who has contributed significantly to the museum's preservation and educational efforts.

2024 Best Friend of the Farmstead
Spring is nature's way of saying. "Let's Party!" And we are planning a big one to celebrate David Stolle as this year's recipient of the Best Friend of the Farmstead. This annual award recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary, significant, and sustained contributions to
the Heritage Farmstead Museum over the course of their service to the museum. We are thrilled to be honoring David at Friends of the Farmstead on Friday, May 31. Make plans to attend the BEST Night at the Museum and pay tribute to a great friend.
The Band
Raised Right Men is DFW's premier classic country band. Formed in 2014, this all male four-person band quickly built their songbook of over 400 boot scootin' country and western songs.
As their website says, "the ace musicians of Raised Right Men make ‘em like they used to — and they’re looking to show you a damned good time as they celebrate and share the traditional country sounds of days gone by."
Members of Raised Right Men are Justin Collins (lead vocal/acoustic guitar), Ray Austin (pedal steel guitar), LD Hill (electric guitar), Clint Sturgeon (bass guitar/backing vocals), and Grady Don Sandlin (drums).
