This year's LPN Charity Golf Tournament is dedicated to raising funds to support Paul Harrington and Carter DuBois. The event promises a day of fun, camaraderie, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in their lives.

Meet Carter DuBois:

Carter DuBois is all boy. He loves sports, video games, and playing with friends.

On January 3 of this year, at the age of 6 years old, Carter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a cancer of his blood. Affectionately known as Carter Bug, to his family and the community, he immediately went into surgery to receive his mediport and began chemotherapy and continued treatment at Cook Childrens Hospital in Fort Worth. He has received daily chemo since January and will continue his treatment through 2025 at the earliest.

While this has been an incredibly painful journey for Carter and his family, he has kept a positive attitude and his personality keeps him looking for reasons to smile.

Carter has 7 siblings who have attended lovejoy schools for the last 16 years, and their family has been heavily involved in the community.

The DuBois family deeply appreciates the overwhelming support from friends, family, community and the the Lovejoy Professional Network members.

Meet Paul Harrington:

On September 29th, 2022, Paul was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukemia (secondary AML) and a gene mutation (TP53) that makes treatment very challenging. He has been in the hospital off and on for several months over the last year receiving treatment in preparation for a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, we learned in August that Paul is not a candidate for a bone marrow transplant. We are praying for admission to MD Anderson for a clinical trial.

Paul and his fiance, April, have built an incredible family that includes Rory (Willow Springs), Lincoln (Hart), and April's three daughters, Soleil, Presley, and Lilah. Paul has met this battle with a smile and an incredibly positive attitude. Always thinking of others, Paul plans to advocate for and support patients with similar diagnoses, drawing on his experience navigating the challenges of treatment, insurance, and the hospital system.

This has been a long and challenging journey since Paul's diagnosis last September, but he is focused on the road to recovery. He is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of friends, family, and community support.

Please continue to keep Paul in your prayers. Thank you for being so supportive. We are so grateful for you all.
