Who We Are

Let me introduce you to Wonderhill Farm 

Holly Carlile, the founder and Executive Director, has been a member of this community for a very long time and has been working with horses her entire life. For the longest time, she taught most of the children in Washington County how to ride. But then she discovered that there was a real need for therapeutic riding for the developmentally disabled. So she set out to become qualified to offer what is called “hippotherapy” or what is also known as therapeutic riding. The results have been astounding – kids progressing beyond what many thought was possible. Then we started offering group therapy to faithbased groups in a mental health setting a little over a year ago, and the feedback has been extraordinary. And now we are expanding further into mental health work with Equine Therapists, which will focus on veterans, first responders, and their families. However no one in need will be turned away. We want to remove the barriers to mental health and hippotherapy services. All of this is in addition to the expertise and facilities to board, train, and rehabilitate horses and act as an equine sanctuary.

When and where?

This year’s fundraising event will be held on Saturday April 8, 2023 at the Washington County Expo from 11:00am – 4:00pm

 

Where should I park?

There will be people on-site to help you with parking, but you will have access to all of the parking at the fairgrounds.  The main events will be in the pavilion and the food court.

 

Who can attend and do I need to buy a ticket?

Everyone is welcome to attend.  A ticket is required and includes all activities the “All you can eat” crawfish meal, and access to the live and silent auctions.

Ticket prices:

              Over 12 - $40

              4-12 - $10

              Under 3 is free

 

Will there be activities for my children?

There will be activities for children starting at 11:00am.  The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 11:15.  After that there will be bounce houses, face painting, Easter photo opps. and more.  During the speaker and live auction we will be having a dance party for the children,  The party as well as the other activities will be supervised by volunteers so that you may be comfortable that your children are being taken care of while you are participating in the auctions.

After you register and have a credit card on file, you may bid from your mobile phone or computer

 

Silent Auction

The silent auction will open Monday April 3, 2023 at 6am and close on Saturday April 8, 2023, during the event.  You will receive instant notifications if you are the highest bidder or if you have been outbid.  There will be an option to set your max bid price per item.  The last bid on an item when the silent auction closes will be declared the winner.

 

Check Out

At the close of auction, each guest will be notified of their winning items and be prompted to submit final payment.  If you forget to check out, we will charge your credit card on file.  Receipts will be sent via emai.

 

Item Pick Up

Any item that can be sent virtually will be sent to you using the email registered in the bidding system.  Anyone with winning bids on physical items are encouraged to take their items home at the end of the night.  Items left the night of will require a scheduled appointment with our Office to be picked up.

 

The Fine Print

All sales are final.  No exceptions or refunds are permitted.  All items sold “AS IS.”  Please read your gift certificates carefully as some items may have restrictions.  We are grateful for your support.
