A Texas Tradition with a Texas-Sized Impact
The Big Tex Clay Shoot Classic is more than a day on the range. It is a one-of-a-kind experience that only the State Fair of Texas can deliver.
Hosted at the Dallas Gun Club, the tournament brings friends, clients, and colleagues together for a premium shooting experience filled with friendly competition, raffles, networking, and unmistakable State Fair flair.
In 2026, the Big Tex Clay Shoot Classic raised a record-breaking $450,000+ for Texas students. In 2027, we are aiming even higher!
100% of every dollar we raise benefits the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Programs, which have provided more than $21.4 million in auction awards and college scholarships to Texas students since 2018.

EVENT DAY SCHEDULE
- Morning Safety Training: 8 a.m.
- Morning Flight: 9 a.m.
- Afternoon Safety Training: Noon
- Afternoon Flight: 1 p.m.
RAIN OR SHINE
This is a rain or shine event. We will continue monitoring the weather with the National Weather Service and will ensure proper safety protocols are taken, if necessary.
CASHLESS EVENT
Please remember to bring a check, credit, or debit card to purchase golf carts, ammo, Helice game tickets, and raffle tickets.
GOLF CARTS
$150 each, accommodating four passengers. Golf carts are not included with team purchase.
AMMO
20 gauge: $15 per box of 25 shells
12 gauge: $14 per box of 25 shells
WAIVERS
Waivers are required by the Dallas Gun Club and must be completed before Thursday, April 22, 2027.
2027 waivers are not yet available. Registrants will be notified once they are received from the Dallas Gun Club.
Event Reminders
Any outstanding balances for sponsorships, teams, or golf carts must be paid upon arrival, before your scheduled flight.

All commitments are final and considered charitable contributions to the State Fair of Texas. As such, they are non-refundable and non-transferable.
