The Big Tex Golf Classic is more than a day on the course. It is a one-of-a-kind experience that only the State Fair of Texas can deliver. From tee to green, golfers enjoy a premium tournament atmosphere infused with State Fair flair, including special guest appearances, beloved Fair traditions, and surprises around every turn.

This year’s tournament heads to the beautiful Brookhaven Country Club and a new Monday, June 8th date, offering a fresh take on a favorite tradition and the perfect way to kick off the week on the course.

When the final putt drops, the fun is just getting started. Guests are invited to stick around for happy hour and an energetic live auction featuring exclusive, can’t-buy-anywhere experiences, all while celebrating the impact we are making together.

Every dollar – 100% – raised through the Big Tex Golf Classic benefits the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Programs, which have provided more than $21.4 million in auction awards and college scholarships to Texas students since 2018 alone. Last year, the tournament raised more than $207,000 in support of Texas youth, and this year we are aiming even higher.

Join us for the 2026 Big Tex Golf Classic

When: Monday, June 8, 2026

Where: Brookhaven Country Club

Breakfast, lunch, and drinks are included. On-course additional treats provided include Fletcher's Original Corny Dogs, Porch Swing Tea, and more!

Alcoholic beverages are available on and off the course. Each player will receive two drink tickets. Additional alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Schedule for the day includes:

7:00 AM – Check-in opens, breakfast available

7:30 AM – Putting contest

7:45 AM – Golf cart pick-up

8:00 AM – Tee Time!

12:30-12:45 PM – Golfers begin returning to clubhouse for lunch

1:30 PM – Live auction, and awards ceremony

All player names must be registered by May 22nd at the very latest.

The State Fair of Texas is passionate about agriculture, education, and supporting students through the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction & Scholarship Programs.  

 All commitments are final and considered charitable contributions to the organization. As such, they are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The State Fair is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Any contribution of $250 or more will receive a tax letter noting the deductible portion of a contribution.
