High-Tech High Heels, North Texas is on a mission to increase the number of women who pursue STEM careers by investing in education and development programs. We support educational summer, after-school, and in- school programming to engage and inspire STEM experiences for K-12 girls and young women.

Why does this matter? Today women make up 50% of the workforce, yet only make up 28% in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). This leads to a lack of diversity, threatening innovation and advancement. It also creates a shortage of qualified applicants for more than 1 million new jobs in the next 10 years. Bottom line, what we do today pays dividends towards building diverse and innovative teams in the future.
