When is the Auction?

This year's Auction will be held on Saturday, February 27 at The Rustic in Dallas.

What is the theme?

This year's Auction theme is Homecoming: Lamplighter Spirit! Get ready to celebrate our beloved school, incredible community, and what makes Lamplighter feel like "home" for students, families, and faculty. The year will be filled with spirit wear, school pride, and all things Lamplighter.

How does the Silent Auction work?

The Silent Auction will be live the week of the auction event. Bid online for your favorite items, then celebrate in person at The Rustic on Saturday, February 27, 2027. The Silent Auction will close on Sunday, February 28, at 9:00 pm.

When can we see the Live Auction items?

All Live & Big Board items will be featured and promoted throughout the weeks leading up to the Auction Event.  Live Auction items will also be available for preview when you log in to bid on Silent Auction items. Be sure to follow the official LPA Instagram account @lamplighterparentsassociation for updates and announcements all year long!

Physical auction items will also be available for a unique preview event in the LPA Barn during Auction week.

What if I can’t attend the LPA Auction event but I want to bid on a Live Auction item? 

Proxy bidding is available! You will find the Proxy Bid Form in the eNews leading up to the Auction event. You can also contact The Lamplighter Advancement Office for further details at advancement@thelamplighterschool.org.

What are Auction Socials?

Auction Socials are events hosted by the LPA Auction Committee throughout the year to keep parents and kids engaged in the Lamplighter community and to raise funds for the school. 

*Underwriters at the Playground Pep Squad level and above receive admission to Auction Socials as part of their underwriting packages (quantity depends on underwriting level). Review underwriting packages through the menu at the top-right corner.

What are Class Projects?

Each grade level has a specific project (artwork, book, etc.) available for purchase. This is an incredible way to celebrate the Lamplighter Spirit in your student(s) and are classic keepsakes for students of all ages. Purchase Class Projects through the menu at the top-right corner.

*Underwriters at the Barnyard Boosters level and above receive a Class Project for each of their students as part of their underwriting packages! Review underwriting packages through the menu at the top-right corner.

What are Class Pets?

Pre-K through T1 classes, as well as certain SATs classrooms, each have a unique book and corresponding "class pet" (stuffed animal or character) that will go home with our students throughout the school year! This year's Class Pets reflect our theme of Homecoming and Lamplighter Spirit. Class Pets will be available for bidding through the Silent Auction. These are HOT ITEMS! 

Surprise your child by announcing their birthday or half-birthday with their name on the Murray Swain Ring Road electronic board. Weekend birthday? Start the celebration early on Friday or keep the party going through Monday! Summer Birthday? Celebrate their half-birthday or kick off summer with a birthday message! Consider donating items such as:

• Experiences: Gift certificates for restaurants, spas, sporting events, or unique outings
• Services: Such as tutoring sessions, fitness classes, or professional services
• Vacation Getaways: Donate a weekend stay at a vacation home or a travel package
• Artwork and Jewelry: Unique pieces that would catch the eye of our auction attendees
