What is the theme?

The theme Out of This World invites everyone to embark on a journey through boundless realms of wonder, curiosity, and future possibilities. It inspires guests to envision a universe brimming with exploration and innovation.

How can I help?

Do you, your friend(s), or your family have an item/service/experience to donate? The search for amazing items is well underway, and no donation is too big or too small. This is a great way to promote small businesses! All donations receive public recognition throughout the event’s promotion. More details can be found by scrolling down to Solicitations or through the menu at the top-right corner.

How does the Silent Auction work?

The fun begins with the opening of the online auction! Our Silent Auction and Big Board items will go live on the LPA Auction website on Tuesday, February 24 at 8:00 p.m. Bid on your favorite items, then celebrate in person at the South Side Ballroom on Saturday, February 28! Silent Auction will close on Sunday, March 1 at 9:00 pm.

When can we see the Live Auction items?

One week prior to the LPA Auction event, each family will receive an LPA Auction Book with a preview of Live Auction items, tributes, advertisements, unique teacher offerings, and list of event sponsors.

What if I can’t attend the LPA Auction event but I want to bid on a Live Auction item? 

​Proxy bidding is available! We will share the Proxy Bid Form in eNews as we near the LPA Auction event or contact The Lamplighter Advancement Office for further details at advancement@thelamplighterschool.org.

What are Auction Socials?

Auction Socials are events hosted by the LPA Auction Committee throughout the year to keep parents and kids engaged in the Lamplighter community and to raise funds for the school. This year's stellar Auction Socials did not disappoint! Thank you to our incredible LPA Socials Co-Chairs - Brielle Pollak, Lindsay Shipp, Shawn Klein, & Whitney Turner - for all of their planning and commitment this year.

*Underwriters at the Rocket Racer level and above receive admission to Auction Socials as part of their underwriting packages (quantity depends on underwriting level). Review underwriting packages through the menu at the top-right corner.

What are Class Projects?

Each grade level has a specific project (artwork, book, etc.) available for purchase. This is an optional memento to celebrate the Lamplighter Spirit in your student(s). Purchase class projects through the menu at the top-right corner.

What are Class Pets?

Pre-K through T1 classes each have an outer space-themed book and corresponding class pet (stuffed animal or character) that will go home with students after winter break. Class pets will be available for bidding through the Silent Auction. These are HOT ITEMS!

As we launch into outer space and the future with LPA Auction 2026: Out of This World, we need your help to make it unforgettable! We're seeking exciting auction items that will astound our guests and help raise crucial funds for our school.

Consider donating items such as:

• Experiences: Gift certificates for restaurants, spas, sporting events, or unique outings
• Services: Such as tutoring sessions, fitness classes, or professional services
• Vacation Getaways: Donate a weekend stay at a vacation home or a travel package
• Artwork and Jewelry: Unique pieces that would catch the eye of our auction attendees
