About Youth of The Year
Since 1947, the Youth of the Year program has honored and celebrated our nation’s most inspiring youth and their incredible achievements.
Youth of the Year is our premier youth leadership development and recognition program that fosters a new generation of leaders, fully prepared for postsecondary education, their careers and leading a diverse, global world.
Youth of the Year honorees have gone on to become professors, motivational speakers, doctors, entrepreneurs and more. Others have become youth development professionals, returning to their local Clubs to mentor and guide younger generations, continuing a legacy dating back over 78 years.

An Evening to Celebrate our Most Extraordinary Young People
The National Youth of the Year event is a pinnacle moment that celebrates our most prestigious honor bestowed upon a young person.
Join us for an evening of youth performances, inspiring stories and transformational impact. Attendees include 500+ supporters who believe in the potential of young people, including Boys & Girls Club alumni, celebrities and influencers, corporate leaders, philanthropists, Club champions and special guests.
Event Leadership Committee
Youth of the Year is an opportunity to bring together friends, supporters, and advocates of the Boys & Girls Clubs movement and the critical work the Boys & Girls Clubs do in our communities every day. Our dedicated Leadership Committee is the reason for the ongoing success of this program. Thanks to their hard work and tireless efforts, we are able to raise critically-needed funds to evolve Boys & Girls Clubs, strengthen our impact, and enable more young people to reach their full potential!
